Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellation Terms

The following cancellation policy applies to ALL events posted on SwiftShifts and cannot be modified by individual businesses:

Free Cancellation
  • Events cancelled 36+ hours before start time
  • No penalty or strike applied
  • Workers automatically notified
Graduated Penalties
  • 24-16 hours before: Strike may be applied
  • 12-8 hours before: Strike placed on account
  • 6-4 hours before: Strike + coaching required
  • Less than 1 hour: Strike + suspension + review
Strike System & Account Suspension
Strike 1-2

Warning issued
Account remains active

Strike 3-4

Final warning
Account under review

Strike 5

Permanent suspension
Account terminated

Strike Reset Policy:
  • Strikes are permanent and cannot be removed
  • Admin may reset strikes only in exceptional circumstances
  • Appeals must be submitted to customer service

Pricing & Service Charges

22% Service Charge Model

All position rates are determined by SwiftShifts admin based on:

  • Position complexity and skill requirements
  • Market rates and regional standards
  • Experience level needed
  • Event duration and conditions
Pricing Process:
  1. Business submits position requirements
  2. Admin evaluates and proposes base rate + 22% service charge
  3. Business approves or negotiates pricing
  4. Position becomes available to workers

User Responsibilities

Business/Manager Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate event information
  • Honor approved pricing rates
  • Maintain professional workplace environment
  • Pay workers promptly through platform
  • Comply with cancellation policies
Worker Responsibilities
  • Complete profile verification process
  • Maintain professional conduct
  • Arrive on time with proper attire
  • Complete work as agreed
  • Comply with position cancellation policies

Platform Rules & Enforcement

Suspension & Termination

SwiftShifts reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Repeated unauthorized cancellations (5-strike rule)
  • Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
  • Violation of platform terms or professional conduct
  • Non-payment or payment disputes
Appeal Process

Suspended users may appeal by contacting our Service Department with detailed explanation and supporting documentation.
